Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021 as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent of space tourism. Kristin is mother of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover was raised within the space industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. Also, she covered the presidential election in 2020 and the efforts of two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Kristin was on the road frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. With her experience on the set, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
